Theatre NorthWest is thrilled to announce Anna Russell as the director for Ring of Fire: The Johnny Cash Story!Russell has been living and working in the city for nearly a decade, during which time she has been an active member of the theatre community in Prince George. This is the first time that Russell and Theatre NorthWest are working together.

“I am really excited to work with Anna, having a group of local directors is really exciting for the organization. We have been very intentional over the past four years about developing local professionals with the technical expertise to operate the theatre and adding directors to that group is very exciting.” Says Marnie Hamagami, Executive Director at Theatre NorthWest.

Ring of Fire: the Johnny Cash Story is a musical about the life of Johnny Cash. It will be running from November 28th until December 18th at Theatre NorthWest. Theatre NorthWest is aiming to be responsive to the tastes of the community with this selection. “We want to be able to offer artistic programming that show cases many aspects of performance art,” Says Hamagami.

“I am thrilled about my debut at Theatre NorthWest,” says Anna Russell. “I think this piece is going to be very entertaining for the Prince George community, and I am personally looking forward to the experience.”
