Our instructor will take students through the basics of wheel throwing to learn how to make things like mugs and bowls, and other projects from clay (time allowing). Glazing instruction and firing included, as well as four extra weeks of studio access for students to continue to explore the wheel.

This class will introduce students to decorating with slips and underglazes, transferring patterns, slip trailing, painting, carving, and building layers.

Chattering Tips and Tricks

Chattering Tips and Tricks

CA$65.00

This class will introduce students to chattering, a method of surface decoration involving texture creation.

Our instructor will demonstrate the process of making your very own chattering tool and how to use it.


You will have the opportunity to practice with your own pottery, but make sure it is in the cheese-hard stage (softer than leather-hard).

All potter skill levels are welcome!

Please note that if you wish to participate in the practice portion of the workshop, to you must be able to throw a finished vessel.

Join us for a two hour session led by a skilled instructor who will help you explore the basics of throwing on a potter’s wheel.

Cost is $50 per person which includes instruction, clay, glaze, firing for one bowl. Additional pieces may be available at $6 per bowl.
