Governance

Who We Are…

The CAC board of directors operates under a governance board model, and is responsible for establishing the mission and vision of the organization, providing strategic planning and financial oversight, and undertaking initiatives to enhance the organization’s public image in the community.

The governance team is comprised of a maximum of 11 elected members, in additional to the non-voting City of Prince George Representative and the CAC Executive Director.

What does the CAC Board do?

  • Ensures adequate support is in place for the CAC staff to deliver high quality arts programs, services and events to residents and artists in our community
  • Accepts responsibility for the society as defined by the Societies Act and the CAC constitution
  • Provides oversight by ensuring budgeting, planning and decision-making processes are adhered to
  • Engages in fundraising activities

The CAC is in an exciting chapter of its evolution, as it is currently planning to relocate Studio 2880 to a new facility that will be a unique cultural destination in the city’s downtown cor. We are seeking new board members who will have passion and enthusiasm for capital campaigns and facility development. Our board and staff members work as a united team, all while having fun collaborating together to preserve, and grow, one of Prince George’s most forward-thinking, community-focused, non-profit organizations.
