Our instructor will take students through the basics of wheel throwing to learn how to make things like mugs and bowls, and other projects from clay (time allowing). Glazing instruction and firing included, as well as four extra weeks of studio access for students to continue to explore the wheel.

All Pottery Class Fees include

  • 6 evenings of instruction, plus one month of studio time following classes 
  • clay and use of guild tools
  • glazing and firing during classes

All current classes are for participants ages 16 years and up. 

No Prerequisites

  • Please meet at Studio 2880 (second building as you drive into the parking lot) - 2880 - 15th Avenue
  • Wear clothes that can get muddy
  • Tools and clay are provided, but you may wish to bring a towel

Not able to commit to a 6 week pottery class? The Prince George Potters’ Guild is pleased to be adding a single evening class to its’ repertoire of classes - Try It Nights! Join us for a two hour session led by a skilled instructor who will help you explore the basics of throwing on a potter’s wheel.

Cost is $50 per person which includes instruction, clay, glaze, firing for one bowl. Additional pieces may be available at $6 per bowl.

Time: 7pm-9pm

Location: 2880 15th Ave, Building 2, PG Potters Guild

You will be encouraged to throw multiple bowls throughout the evening and then choose one masterpiece to keep.This piece will be finished and glazed by the instructor and ready for pick up three weeks later.

  • These sessions are designed for folks with no clay experience
  • Please wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty

All current classes are for participants ages 16 years and up.

Your instructor will take students through the three basic construction methods, pinch, coil, and slab, to create several projects from clay.  Glazing instruction and firing included, as well as four extra weeks of studio access for students to continue to explore hand building techniques.
