Community Arts Council of Prince George & District
Mission:
To support, encourage and promote all arts in Prince George and District by raising the level of excellence and providing a creative climate for growth in the arts.
Mandate:
- Raise the public awareness of Arts and Culture through education.
- Stimulate public interest and participation in the development of cultural projects and activities.
- Be a liaison between the arts and the citizens of Prince George.
- Enlist public interest and promote public understanding of cultural groups.
- Bring the cultural needs of Prince George and District to the attention of civic and provincial authorities
We serve the community as an information and advocacy centre for all aspects of the arts, both locally and regionally.
The Community Arts Council manages two buildings; 2820 and 2880 15th Avenue. Building Studio 2820 houses the Community Arts Council administration office, local ticket centre and Ticketmaster outlet, the Artisan Gift Shoppe and the Preschool of the Arts. Building Studio 2880 houses the 2880 Artists' Workshop, Prince George Quilters' Guild, Prince George Potters' Guild, Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Prince George Community Foundation, Prince George Weavers' and Spinners' Guild, Music for Young Children and Prince George Community Radio.

Bi-monthly meetings are held in the Jack Bryan meeting room. The meeting starts at 7:30. All members and Group or Member Guild are invited to attend. The next meeting is April 7, 2010. Meetings are suspended for the months of July & August.
